In response to the response to the letter you printed on my behalf regarding my treatment at the hands of the Labour Party when discussing the carers situation (Vote for Labour is a wasted one, February 12), let me state that I am 51 years of age and not 13. I was not trying to contact Chris Grayling on this occasion nor any other party. I was trying to solicit a reply from Labour and had been unsuccessful in doing so.

I, unlike the person who responded in your paper, am not in the business of abusing members of the public without the facts and unfortunately this individual was unable to understand the thrust of what I was saying.

The letter was self explanatory in what I was highlighting and therefore the person sadly did not understand.

I do consider a vote for Labour as a waste and I agree with your heading and I am extremely sorry to say that they have not responded to me yet again, although the gentleman I mentioned in the letter has contacted me, as he always does, and was aware of the inclusion of the item. Incidentally the Labour MP I was attempting to contact was Liz Kendall and not as I wrongly stated Sheila, and therefore my apologies to anyone in the Epsom area named Sheila Kendall if I offended them.

Maybe the anonymous "Resident" will read the post again and take a bit more time to understand what I was saying. I was not attempting to be abusive to any Epsom resident and I don't feel that the paper was either.

Crossed wires perhaps.
