Monday was a happy day for bookworms at a Wimbledon school, as a TV legend dropped by to talk about the importance of reading.
Henry Winkler, who played the Fonz in the classic American comedy series Happy Days, visited St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Russell Road.
Winkler was launching his new series of childrens' books featuring a main character with dyslexia, a condition that Winkler struggled with during his time at school.
He hoped that the stories would encourage kids to get reading - even if they had been put off books in the past.
The actor said: "Just because we learn differently, that does not mean that we are not incredibly smart human beings. That's something I need every child to understand."
