FoCUS The Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is one of the leading providers of specialist mental health, drug and alcohol and learning disability services for people of all ages in southern England.

FoCUS – The Forum of Carers and People Who Use Services – was set up in 2006 by the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as part of the Trust's Vision and Values to be open, inclusive and accountable and ensure people who use services and their carers are at the heart of what the Trust does, and how this should happen.

Joining FoCUS enables people to have a say in what is done and how services can be improved. It also provides opportunities to meet with carers and other people who use services and share experiences and information.

The Area Groups meet regularly to provide people who use services and carers with an opportunity to hear about what is happening in the Trust, feedback their comments and to have their say about any issues that are concerning them regarding the health and social care of people with mental health problems and learning disabilities. There are four Area Groups and you are welcome to join whichever one is most convenient for you.

• South West Surrey Area Group - covering Farnham, Haslemere and Guildford • West Surrey Area Group - covering Farnborough, Camberley and Aldershot • East and Mid Surrey Area Group - covering Epsom, Horley, Redhill, Oxted and Croydon • North West Surrey Area Group - covering Staines, Egham, Cobham and Esher If you are interested in joining FoCUS or would like more information please contact Christine Schauerman, User Involvement Facilitator, at Christine.Schauerman@surreycoalition.org.uk If you think you would like to attend meetings but may have difficulties with transport, we may be able to help.
