I am writing to say thank you to all those who opened their doors at the weekend as part of the Heritage Open Days organized by Epsom Civic Society in conjunction with Epsom & Ewell Council.
Particularly, thank you to Epsom fire station. Despite the bad weather Epsom residents didn’t disappoint with an excellent turnout.
The fireman showed us round the whole of the fire station, including the fire engine, fireman’s pole and their gym, much to the pleasure of all the visitors, including some delighted children!
The firemen gave up lots of their time telling members of the public about how the station works, letting children sit in the fire engine and try out the helmets.
We, in Epsom, are very lucky to have such dedicated firemen in our town, keeping us safe.
Thank you to all the team at Epsom fire station for giving up their very valuable time after being out on call!
