I have lived in Downs Way Epsom for almost five years and in that time I have complained to Michael Arthur, Julie Morris & Anna Jones (Liberal Democrats) and most recently to Tina Mountain (Conservative) about the noise nuisance caused by the cracked concrete road outside my house and the health & safety issue caused by broken kerb stones outside my neighbour’s house.
At election time Julie Morris & Anna Jones told me to vote for them if I wanted to get the repairs done to my road!
Tina Mountain asked for my mobile number and never called! So...
In June 2013 I attended the Epsom & Ewell Local Committee meeting where I had the good fortune to meet Eber Kington (Residents Association).
He was aware of my photographs and letter of complaint to the Highways department at SCC and true to his word, passed my details to the correct person in the highways department who called me to make an appointment to meet me at my property. A few phone calls and e-mails later and the cracks have been filled and the kerb stones put back in place.
