I was appalled to hear of the old Banstead Ibis Bookshop is to close down.
As it has been here for decades, I knew it when I was a child. It is now the only original shop left in Banstead from the old days (not to mention being the only bookshop).
All Banstead High Street now seems to be getting is more and more snooty 'boutiques' that are useless to most people, and other 'Micky Mouse' shops.
The internet should have been restricted from poaching shop's customs under the unfair trading laws, I would have thought!
