A staggering seven million litres of water have been wasted in a week due to two burst water pipes.
A burst water pipe in Brixton Hill caused traffic chaos and left several households dry on Thursday (July 7), turning the road into a "river".
According to Thames Water, four million litres of water were wasted on Thursday and another three million when a pipe burst in Brixton road earlier this week.
Residents across south London - in Streatham, West Norwood, Brixton Hill, Putney, Wimbledon, Tooting and Croydon - were left without water for the best part of the day, while the company tried to stop the leak and divert water supply to other mains.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Alex Davies will be meeting with senior Thames Water staff to discuss the issues with their south Lambeth supply.
