The North Surrey team at an at-home care provider has been awarded the “Best International Office Award” at the company’s annual international conference.

The North Surrey branch of Visiting Angels was launched by local duo Lynn and Chris James back in 2020.

Despite being faced with the pandemic, the North Surrey branch of Visiting Angels claims that it met the growing demand for attentive care in the local community.

Lynn explained that having their hard work celebrated after starting just two years ago felt like “a huge achievement.”

She also said that the team at North Surrey had become “a shining example of how care should be delivered and received across the UK.”

The Visiting Angels international conference was recently held in Florida where Lynn and Chris, along with their team of 35 carers, were awarded the Best International Office Award.

This includes competing against other Visiting Angels international offices across the USA, Mexico, Canada, South Korea and the UK.

Visiting Angels is currently provide more than 450 care hours per week to local clients and the team at North Surrey plans to increase the range of services they offer along with extending the care hours.

The branch currently serves clients in Thames Ditton, Hinchley Wood, New Malden, Worcester Park, Stoneleigh, Epsom, Ewell, Sutton, Esher, Cobham, Claygate and surrounding areas.

Lynn said: “We’re delighted to have had our team’s efforts and commitment recognised through winning the Best International Office Award.

“To have only launched two years ago and already have our work celebrated like this is a huge achievement.

“It couldn’t have been done without collective commitment and belief in what we do.

“We’re all so devoted to raising the standards of care provision in our community, to have our ongoing work affirmed on an international scale is something that will continue to drive us over the next 12 months and beyond.”

“Winning this award wouldn’t have been possible without our team that is driven by raising the standards of care across the community.

“Since we launched, our priority has been to ensure our carers feel valued and protected, which in turn has resulted in high-quality care for our clients.

“Our team’s a shining example of how care should be delivered and received across the UK, and we’re incredibly proud to be able to offer it to those in need in our community.”
