Police are appealing for information after a critically injured man was found in Epsom early on Saturday morning.

A member of the public found the 36-year-old man lying in the middle of Miller Place, off Sherwood Way, shortly after 5am on November 25.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance and remains in a critical condition.

His family have been informed.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything to come forward.

Superintendent Kerry Haddleton, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are considering a number of different hypotheses as to how this man came to lying in the street so badly injured - and it is likely that there are people out there who have information that could help our enquiry.

“If you were around the area of Sherwood Way or Horton Lane in Epsom between midnight and 5.30am, and saw or heard anything that may help our investigation, I want to hear from you - call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference 45170131251.”

Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
