Disruptions to services at Waterloo Station will last all day after a set of points were found to be faulty outside platform one.
South Western Railway said their engineers would not be able to fix the problem until this evening due to the nature of the fault.
A statement read: "South Western Railway are working on a service plan to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum during the day and more essentially during the morning and evening peak.
"To reduce the delays to trains, some services may have to be altered or revised at short notice."

07:23 Hampton Court to London Waterloo will terminate at Raynes Park
07:40 Shepperton to London Waterloo will terminate at Kingston
07:52 Epsom to London Waterloo will terminate at Raynes Park
08:23 Hampton Court to London Waterloo will terminate at Raynes Park
08:33 London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Twickenham and Kingston will terminate at Kingston
08:53 Hampton Court to London Waterloo will terminate at Raynes park
08:58 Guildford to London Waterloo via Epsom will terminate at Raynes Park
