The former Argos in Epsom’s Spread Eagle Walk is on the letting market.
Letting agents Stiles Harold Williams (SHW) listed the £120,000-a-year-unit fronting Ashley Road this week.
The property is currently earmarked for retail purposes, but “would lend itself to alternative uses”, SHW claims, including a showroom, a restaurant, a gym or a studio.
Epsom agency planner at SHW Mark Skelton said: “The property will benefit greatly from the new Premier Inn being constructed on the neighbouring site, formerly occupied by the Comrades Club.”
Work on the four-storey, 57-bed hotel started in July when the near-100-year-old Comrades Club was knocked down.
A new Argos opened at the Sainsbury’s store in Kiln Lane, Epsom earlier this year.
The move came after Sainsbury’s acquisition of Home Retail Group, which owns Argos, last September.
