An Epsom shooter secured a new British record at the inaugural Junior World Target Sprints Championships this weekend.
Kieran Gall, the only British boy to make the final in Suhl, Germany, last weekend, completed the 1,200-metre, 15-target course in five minutes and 12 seconds.
The Epsom youngster qualified for the final in 11th place before finishing eighth on Saturday, June 24.
He also came fourth in the mixed team event alongside Emily Shawyer and sixth in the men’s team event, teaming with Jack Jeffreys and Sam Hopson.
Competitors in the singles event race three 400-metre laps while shooting five targets with an air rifle from a distance of ten metres after each lap.
