A six-man bank holiday brawl in Epsom ended with a man being taken to hospital suffering from head injuries.
A man in his 50s was taken by road to a specialist neurological unit St George’s Hospital in Tooting after the fight at about 5pm on Sunday (April 30).
The victim had suffered head injuries after the brawl at the junction of Manor Green Road, Epsom, and Lower Court Road.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance landed at nearby Court Recreation Ground at 5.04 pm, but the man was eventually taken to hospital by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance.
His condition is not yet known.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH, Surrey Police stated. He has been released from police custody but will remain under investigation.
