Surrey Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to a mass brawl that led to a police officer’s tooth being knocked out at the Epsom Derby this year.

From June: Riot police called to bottle-throwing brawl between racegoers at Epsom Derby

Riot police clashed with drunken bottle-throwing racegoers at the Derby on Saturday, June 4.

Surrey Comet:

The force today (Wednesday, August 3) released CCTV images of 11 men (above and below) they wish to speak to in connection with the violence near an entertainment stage on the hill.

Surrey Comet:

Eleven people were arrested on the day and a further ten have been arrested since the Derby for crimes including violent disorder, GBH, robbery and ABH.

The number of Derby Day arrests is more than the number of arrests made by Surrey Police – which dispatches several hundred officers to the Derby every year – in 2015 (five) and 2014 (also five) combined.

All those who have been arrested this year have been released on bail to dates between Tuesday, August 23 and Thursday, September 8, pending further enquiries.
