A man suspected of shooting a 34-year-old Coulsdon man at a pool party in Headley last week has been bailed.

The 38-year-old man from London has been released on bail until September 8 after Ricardo Hunter, 34, was shot dead in Headley in the early hours of Monday, July 25.

A 36-year-old woman also suffered gunshot wounds to the leg in the attack at a £1million house in Church Lane, Headley.

Officers from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team expect to spend several more days carrying out their detailed forensic examination of the house.

DCI Paul Rymarz, from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: "We are continuing to appeal for witnesses to Ricardo Hunter's murder to come forward and although we have already spoken to a number of people, it remains our intention to speak to everyone who was at the party."

He added: "We are particularly keen to see any photos or video taken on the night as this information could prove vital. I know people may have concerns about contacting the police so I would like to reassure them that we will treat any reports or information provided in the strictest confidence.

"We will be building up a picture of how events unfolded at the party in what is an extensive and challenging investigation.

"I would like to thank Headley residents for their co-operation and patience while the police investigation has continued this week and the Mole Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to keep them updated over the coming days.”
