Young singers from the Ewell Castle School Festival Choir filled The Ashley Centre with beautiful song in aid of charity yesterday.
The children, all students at Ewell Castle Preparatory School, stood and performed a spring concert for Epsom shoppers outside House of Fraser store in the indoor shopping centre on Tuesday, April 19.
The students raised a total of £120 for the Epsom Medical Equipment Fund whilst standing resplendently in their blue uniform attracting shoppers with their spring time songs.
Owner of Epsom Medical Equipment Fund, Bess Harding, said: “We are really appreciative to the Festival Choir at Ewell Castle School for visiting The Ashley Centre to sing and raise money for Epsom Medical Equipment Fund.
“The children sang beautifully. They looked incredibly smart and were all very polite. The afternoon was really lovely.”
Epsom Medical Equipment Fund was formed in 1979. The charity has raised close to £4,000,000 to purchase items for Epsom General Hospital in the years it has been running.
The money raised by the children is being used by Epsom Medical Equipment Fund to purchase ultrasound scanning equipment for stroke and vascular investigations for Epsom General Hospital.
