A criminal investigation has been opened after a 'serious crash' between two cars in Worcester Park, which caused the drivers minor injuries and long delays on the roads.
The crash between a Renault Clio and a small Audi on Malden Road outside Worcester Park railway station happened at about 3.15pm.
Firefighters from New Malden said the police would be opening a criminal investigation into the matter.
They also said the drivers suffered minor injuries amounting to cuts and bruises.

London Fire Brigade confirmed injuries had been reported but neither driver was trapped.
Traffic was reportedly queueing back to the A3.
Fuel had to be cleaned off the road but firefighters had left by 4.45pm.
