A woman was taken to hospital this afternoon after crashing into a fence in Kingston town centre.
The accident happened at 2pm in Queen Elizabeth Road near the Tiffin School close to the junction with Cromwell Road, almost outside the former Kaleidoscope building.
A Met spokesman confirmed they were called to the area by the London Ambulance Service after reports of a beige Renault Megane colliding with a fence.
The road was closed temporarily while the aftermath was dealt with and the air ambulance was summed, but later stood down.
The driver, a woman in her late 40s, suffered minor injuries but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road was open by 3pm.
