A moped rider has been 'knocked down by a van' on the Ewell bypass today, in the fourth crash in Ewell in less than a week.

Transport for London say the A24 road was closed at the junction with London Road after a crash involving a van and motorcycle.

A passerby said an ambulance and police were dealing with the crash, which was near the old Organ Inn, since demolished, crossroads by the road into Ewell Village, some time after 3.30pm.

- A silver BMW X5 crashed into a tree and ended up on its side in the middle of London Road, Ewell, in the early hours of Friday morning last week. Police said men ran from the crash.

- An air ambulance landed after a cyclist in his 40s was injured by a black Vauxhall Corsa on the A240 Ewell bypass at 12.24am on Sunday.

- And police are looking for a missing motorbike taken after its owner smashed into the back of a Landrover in Chessington Road, Ewell, at about 4.45pm on Sunday.
