A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a large rubbish fire was started on Valentine's Day.
Epsom’s fire service was called to Acer House, in East Street, Epsom, at 3.10pm on Saturday, February 14, to reports of a fire at the side of the building.
An Epsom firefighter said it was believed the fire was started deliberately.
He said: "We had to keep the public back as there was quite a lot of smoke.
"It was a reasonably large fire and quite a large exclusion zone for the public."
Three fire engines and six firefighters spent an hour tackling the fire.
No one is believed to have been injured.
A Surrey Police spokesman said a man in his 50s had been arrested on suspicion of arson and was in custody.
