Items worth about £10,000 were stolen from a house in Oxshott.

Pieces of jewellery stolen included a bracelet, gold and diamond necklace, gold rings, and a watch with a black strap and gold face, all by the designer Bulgari.

Other items taken included a blue denim handbag, clutch handbag and two brown overnight bags, all by Louis Vuitton, a Mont Blanc black leather overnight bag and an Apple iPhone 5c.

It is believed the offender forced entry through a rear door of the house in Moles Hill, sometime between 3pm and 8.40pm on Friday, December 5, and made an untidy search of the house.

Investigating officer Felicity Bracewell said: "The owners are greatly distressed by the break-in and upset by the loss of so many valuable items. In total these items are valued at around £10,000.

"Several security measures had been put in place and due to the nature of the break-in it is possible that this burglary was planned out in advance and possible that the perpetrators may have even visited the area in the days prior to the incident to get an understanding of the layout."
