A drop-in session will be held this week with information about NHS plans to change health services at hospitals and clinics.

The meeting, part of the ongoing Better Services Better Value (BSBV) review of services in south-west London and north Surrey, will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at Bourne Hall, in Spring Street, Ewell, from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Residents and patients will be able to find out more about the BSBV's proposals to re-shape local hospital services, which are at this stage not site-specific, ahead of a three-month public consultation in the spring.

There will be discussions about emergency and urgent care, accident and emergency, planned care, maternity and children’s services, out of hospital care, long term conditions, end-of-life care, and travel and transport.

Dr Simon Williams, a Surrey GP and leading member of the BSBV’s clinical team, said: "This is a chance for local people to come and hear about the case for change and talk to the doctors who are running the review about the proposals.

"People will be able to ask questions and voice any concerns so we can consider these ahead of the public consultation later in the spring."

A BSBV spokesman said the team has written to community groups, residents’ associations and the voluntary sector and will also be publicising the drop-in session via social media.
