This year England was hit by the coldest winter since 1995, bringing with it an immense amount of snow. Epsom was also hit by this blizzard of snow, with up to 4 inches in surrounding areas!
However it was received with mixed feelings. Public transport came to a halt, roads were impassable and schools were closed. This was exciting and definitely an advantage of freezing weather for the children around Epsom as they were able to and have fun in the snow with snow ball fights and all sorts of freezing activities. I have a feeling it thrilled some adults who managed to miss work as well!
However A-level students who had important exams around this time were not as pleased with the amount of time the snowed endured for as the exams were not cancelled and plenty of lessons were missed.
Over the period of two weeks snow angels and snowmen seemed to take over Epsom. The snow in England and definitely Epsom is very rare only increasing over recent years, which released a buzz around Epsom and seemed to infect people of all ages!
