Daniel Race and his Conservative team handed a 2000 signature petition to the Planning Department at Epsom and Ewell Council.

Conservative County Councillor Tina Mountain, Jane Race and Daniel Race handed in the petition to Epsom's Town Hall.

Local residents have voiced their concern about Green Belt/Conservation land being turned into more residential sites. This petition calls on the local Planning Officers and Committee to reject such developments and highlights the strength of local opposition.

Recently Chris Grayling MP, Secretary of State for Justice, wrote to residents of Langley Vale assuring them that his Conservative team are monitoring the situation regarding a field in Langley Bottom Farm which may be subject to a future planning application for further homes.

County Councillor Tina Mountain asked Mole Valley Council to make contact with Epsom Planning Department regarding the consideration of developing the Ashtead Garden Centre and surrounding Green Belt. We are grateful that the planning committee wrote to Mole Valley rejecting the loss of this Green Belt boundary.

The Conservative team recently successfully supported local people in objecting to the proposals to turn the historic Priam Lodge stables into residential homes.

Whilst collecting signatures in Epsom Town Centre a young girl asked if she could sign saying 'Once it's gone it's gone forever'. How true. In order to SAVE EPSOM there can be no exceptions. Any exception could set a precedent and if one is permitted more will follow. Its still not too late to sign. We hope that our petition will be used to fight planning applications and appeals.

Let us SAVE EPSOM together.
