It's so great to be able to report some good news for a change.
Walking in Epsom town centre last Saturday we spied a gazebo outside the Metro Bank at the main crossroads, and the ladies and guys manning it were giving away free cakes and drinks to all who wanted one
There were about 10 varieties of cakes and hot and cold drinks. They were there for about two and a half hours, so I think they shifted a lot of cakes.
It turned out that they were a local church (King's Church, Epsom) who wanted to "bless the people of Epsom", have some conversations if the opportunity arose, and share their Christian faith.
No strings attached. They have been on that spot three or four times now and plan to do the same once a month. It was lovely to see their smiling faces and be given a drink and a tasty cake.
