I felt I had to write to the Guardian after experiencing the most awful piece of driving I have ever had the misfortune to witness.

I was driving along Hook rise, near the "big yellow" storage building when a lorry approached us from the opposite direction. The car in front of me stopped to let the lorry pass in a space beside us.

The lorry came towards us and pulled into the space but a very selfish and ignorant car driver had wrongly followed the lorry so close behind it that there was a complete block and no one could go anywhere.

The lorry then tried to reverse and this woman in the car, even though completely in the wrong, refused to back up but sat there waving her arms about and tooting her horn.

The car in front of me gestured this totally ignorant driver to back up and that was met with completely obscene language and gestures from this driver. This woman had caused this complete roadblock and then refused to back up.

So myself, the car in front and the one behind me all backed up and allowed the traffic to flow again but this very anti-social woman couldn't resist sticking her fingers up along with her three other passengers and swearing like a trooper at the poor driver in front of me who had done nothing wrong.

I really don't think this woman driver, and I use the term "driver" very loosely, was even capable of backing up and that is why she reacted the way she did when she was totally at fault.

Drivers are usually very courteous and respectful and I have had little, if no, cause for complaint. That is before I witnessed this hopefully one-off incapable, rude and ignorant woman and her three likewise passengers.
