During extensive canvassing by the Labour campaign teams in Epsom and Ewell constituency, it has become apparent that the Labour Party election address delivery which should have been delivered to every house by Royal Mail has been very patchy. For example some people in Ewell have received 3, some others have received nothing. I am certainly not blaming the postmen and women who come out door to door in all weathers; they do a marvellous job, but it is clear that selling the Royal Mail off too cheaply will result in a deteriorating service and this has proved the case. Labour will put a stop to further privatisation across the public sector, protecting jobs and services into the future.
I can assure all residents in the constituency that you do have a very committed and dedicated local Labour candidate to vote for on 7 May, plus Labour candidates fighting every council seat too. We will continue to be out on doorsteps, in High Streets and outside Schools and Stations talking to people right up to polling day. Do come to talk to us and hear about our pledges for Epsom & Ewell.
Our apologies if you have not heard from us individually, this has obviously been out of our control and we will be taking this up with Royal Mail managers.
