Interesting to read the story of Barry Jeffrey, forced to live in a caravan on an industrial estate after losing his home for not paying his rent.
Mr Jeffrey claimed that "All I’m asking for is a fair crack of the whip". Presumably all his previous landlord was asking for was the same fairness - maybe that Mr Jeffrey paid his rent. Presumably too, when the council paid Mr Jeffrey his housing benefit, they were also only asking for the same fairness - that public money was used for its intended purpose.
We all want a fair crack of the whip Mr Jeffrey. But please remember that fairness is a two way street.
