Having had a good old whinge in the Epsom Guardian about the pavements in Chadacre Road Stoneleigh and the path across Nonsuch Park (Wheelchair users beg for pavement pothole repairs, October 30), I have been exploring other routes.
I must praise Surrey County Council, or is it their contractor, for the wonderful job they have done renovating the pavements in Bradstock Road. All credit to those responsible!
It was a great joy to journey in my electric wheelchair to our local shops in the Broadway, Stoneleigh. It does show what can be done. Everywhere the pavements were smooth, the slopes from the drive ways were not too steep and the curbs were easily manageable.
Well done Surrey County Council and their contractor. It just shows what can be done. Congratulations. I must stop whingeing and pray and hope it won't be long before our road, Chadacre, with at least 2 electric wheelchair users, is sorted and then there is that treacherous path across from the north entrance of Nonsuch Park that needs to be done.
Now that the Government are claiming the economy is doing so much better maybe there will be more money available for improving more pavements.
Will this letter have any influence?
