Dowson happy with quiet Ks spell
2:28pm Friday 22nd June 2012 in Non-League
It is all quiet at Kingsmeadow and that is the way Kingstonian boss Alan Dowson likes it – for now.
The Ks squad returns to pre-season training next Saturday with a run round Bushy Park.
Dowson, right, is preparing for his sixth full season in charge and has so far resisted the opportunity to bolster his squad, but he expects that to change in the coming weeks.
“There will be plenty of new faces who turn up at training. Some we will be looking to sign and some who will have work to do to convince us they are a worth a place in the squad,” said.
“It has been pretty quiet this summer, which is the way I wanted it. “But we have spoken to plenty of players about next season and expect some exciting announcements – about new players and our pre-season friendlies – to be made in the next couple of weeks.”
