Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanović will be meeting fans, taking part in a question and answer session, playing with football trading cards and signing autographs in Leatherhead today.

The tough-tackling Serbian will arrive at Tesco Extra in Oxshott Road, Leatherhead at 1.30pm.

Mr Ivanović is teaming up with trading card company Topps to launch its first ever UEFA Champions League edition of Match Attax cards.

The defender recently ran out in Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Paris St Germain in the tournament’s round of 16 on Tuesday, February 16.

Fan-favourite Ivanović will be taking part in a special question and answer session and 5-a-side game of Match Attax Champions League with two lucky fans, before doing a product signing from 1.45pm to 2.30pm in the main foyer.

Ivanović has been immortalised in the collection and will be presented with his over-sized Match Attax card (pictured below) at 1.45pm.

Epsom Guardian:

Rod Pearson, marketing director for Topps, said: “We’re incredibly excited to have Branislav on-board as an ambassador for the UEFA Champions League collection.

"Clearly, his popularity amongst fans and his commitment to the game, as well as his footballing ability as one of Chelsea’s top players, really resonates with our young collectors.”

Members of the public are invited to the event.
