Richard Challoner boys star at Goodison Park

Richard Challoner School U12s suffered heartache after falling at the final hurdle in the National Schools Cup final at Goodison Park.

A late goal saw the Kingston side lose 2-1 to Liverpool’s Archbishop Beck School, despite an equaliser from skipper Jack Watret.

They did have the consolation of receiving their medals from Everton defender Phil Jagielka.

The boys shrugged off the disappointment to win the London Schools Cup and the Surrey Schools Cup.

They beat Cumberland School 3-2 in the London Cup final and Woodcote 3-0 to land the Surrey competition.
