Students from Claremont Fan School enjoyed an oustanding day at the National Prep Schools Championship in Birmingham, writes Judy Tilson.
Harry Lightfoot-Brown was crowned U14 boys’ national champion in the 75m hurdles, clocking 12.3 seconds, while Emma Nanson won the girls’ U13 sprint hurdles (12.3 seconds) - with Emily Runton third in the same race.
The two girls linked up with Noor Bezard-Nori, Tegan Reilly and Noah Jankel to finish third in the U13 70m hurdles.
Claremont also won the Elmbridge District athletic meeting hosted by the school last week.
Principal Alice Stanley said: “How exciting for these young people to be recognized for their outstanding talents and ability. We celebrate their achievements.”
