AFC Wimbledon began their pre-season preparations yesterday with a 0-0 draw at Croydon Athletic. Here are SAM ELLIOTT's ratings on how Terry Brown's men performed:

Andy Little: Showed his fight for the number one shirt with a dominant display. 7Steve Gilbert: Warned Luke Garrard he can count on a challenge with a solid first 45 minutes. 6Alan Inns: An uncomfortable start was quickly forgotten. Vice captain material. 6Ben Judge: Fans will like what they saw from his long-awaiting Dons debut. STAR MAN 8Kennedy Adjei: Adapted well to the left-back role as decision day on Michael Haswell looms. 7Lewis Taylor: Showed no sign of his lack of pre-season preparation. Quick feet and good passing. 7Tom Davis: Certain to make his new team tick in the coming season. 7Aaron Wise: Shaky start - could have done with coming out for the second half. 5Tony Finn: A bundle of energy but must work on his finishing. 6Michael Power: Excellent approach play, but perhaps needed to show more in front of goal. 6Jon Main: Only given just over half an hour as a precaution but still showed his worth. 6Second half side: (4-4-2) Jack Turner, 7. Luke Garrard, 7. Jason Goodliffe, 6. Michael Peacock, 6. Chris Hussey, 6. Cussi, 6, Sam Hatton, 6. Marvin Hamilton, 5. Luke Pigden, 5. Elliott Godfrey, 7. Belal Aiteouakrim, 5.

how can you say Steve Gilbert is up there with Luke, there is no way, if any problem it was on the left wing in the first half that we missed Micky Haswell, no one running on down the wing which would have caused problems.
