Carshalton Athletic player/manager Peter Adeniyi insists his squad must maintain focus as they continue plotting their escape from the Ryman Division One South.
The Robins avenged last season's 7-1 drubbing by Ramsgate on Saturday by returning from the Kent coast with a 2-1 win via goals from Tommy Bradford and Sekou Kaba.
And that fifth win on the spin saw Carshalton solidify a grip on third place in the current league standings although, as well as others having games in hand, they do remain 10 points behind leaders Tooting and Mitcham United.
"It's an old cliche but we need to just keep going one game at a time and try to maintain the high standards we've recently shown," said Adeniyi.
"If we win our remaining 12 games then we'll end on 100 points - if any other club still finished above us after that then fair play to them.
"The conditions at Ramsgate were terrible but the lads were mentally strong and that got us through. The team spirit here is amazing and perhaps the biggest reason the club is in this promotion mix."
Carshalton led the Rams 1-0 at half-time thanks to Tommy Bradford's 29th of the season but the hosts levelled up through Danny Lawrence on 66 minutes.
Ramsgate then lost full back Jake McKenzie to a second yellow card however and midfielder Kaba, whom played the game in the unfamiliar position of left back, made them pay by stabbing home an 81st minute winner.
"I think that just goes to show how important it is to have a strong squad. Sekou is naturally left-footed, didn't complain when asked to play in an uncommon position and went on to score," Adeniyi added.
"Several of our injured lads came on the trip too and that kind of attitude will stand them and the club in good stead moving forwards."
Carshalton's next game is at home against Cray Wanderers this coming Saturday and the Robins will be looking to gain some revenge over the Wands whom beat them twice back in October.
"I like Cray, they are a good club that try and play football like us so it should be an entertaining game," said Adeniyi, "but no doubt my boys will be up for it as we want to collect another three points."
Carshalton Athletic vs Cray Wanderers kicks off at 3pm on Saturday 18th February.
