An Epsom schoolgirl has celebrated winning not one but two gold medals at an international martial arts competition.
Blenheim High School pupil Leyla Palser took a double gold at the Taekwondo Scotland Championships, held in Motherwell on September 2 and 3.
The 12-year-old, of Chapel Way, won in the Poomsae and fighting -55kg categories, beating the reigning champion from Jordan along the way.
This weekend (September 16 and 17), Leyla will be in Manchester for the British National Championships.
She is a member of the Team GB squad and hopes to represent Britain in China in 2018 as well as national and international competitions along the way.
