Ewell Village Fair, an annual highlight of St Mary's Church and a popular local event, will be held on Saturday 15 July from 10.30am to 4pm in the Glyn House Grounds of Ewell Castle School.

Arena events will include the Southern Golden Retrievers, Paladin of Chivalry, Ready Steady Go Kids, Claro Zumba Display, Aerial Tumbling Display Gymnastics Squad, Epsom Players Cabaret, Philomenas Dance School Display, The Divas Choir and Starlets Tenors and Junior Choir.

All the fun of a traditional fair includes a coconut shy, Punch & Judy, pony rides, bouncy castle and ball pit plus many other side shows to entertain both young and old. Pimms, beer, tea, coffee, soft drinks and ice cream will be available throughout the day.

The barbecue will be serving burgers and hot dogs but for those who fancy something different there is a choice of Afro Caribbean or Sri Lankan food. Hot food, provided by the Nescot Team, will be served in the Church Hall - opposite the church - and pre-packed children's lunch boxes will be available.

The wide range of stalls will include cakes, bottle tombola, plants, bric a brac, toys, jewellery and a chance to win a prize on the Grand Draw. There will be cake baking competitions for both adults and children.

The entry fee is just £1 and forms can be found on the website (fair@stmarysewell.com) or collected from the church office.

The day will begin with the Ewell St Mary's Morris Men, and several guest sides, dancing outside The Famous Green Man before leading the Mayor to the 18th century Watch House to "refresh the wastrel" before moving on to the fair.

Admission is £2.50 on the gate; children under 16 free. Offers of help and donations for the stalls are always welcome and anyone who wants to help in any way is asked to contact the church office on 020 8393 2643 or visit the website.
