Next week Kieran Gall from Epsom will represent Great Britain in the very first Junior Target Sprint World Championships in Suhl, Germany.
Kieran has been training with the team in Yate, South Gloucestershire and on Thursday 22nd June sets off to try and become Britain's first medal winner. Target Sprint is an up and coming event in which competitors run 400m then shoot 5 targets with an air rifle from a distance of 10m.
They then run again, shoot again and then finish with one more 400m lap. The athletes must not only be good sprinters but then be able to calmly focus themselves to hit the 35mm targets as quickly as possible. We wish all the team good luck in their endeavours.
