17 year old Danielle Shelley Welsh from Ashtead, Surrey has become a semi-finalist in the 'Miss Teen Great Britain' competetion.
Recently she has been fundraising for their Charity which is 'Together For Short Lives'. This charity is for children with life-threatening and life limiting conditions. Danielle said "I am looking forward to raising even more money for this charity and look forward to meeting some of the people I am helping to raise money for.
"Competing in the Miss Teen Great Britain beauty pageant has really given me a confident boost. I want to be a good role model for girls my age. The grand finial is in October this year in Blackpool, held in The Globe Theatre.
I am nervous but most of all excited at the same time, I am looking forward to meeting new people."
