Family run cancer charity bring their unique service to Epsom to give people 'Something To Look Forward To'.

'Something To Look Forward To' is a social action cancer charity which passes on free 'gifts' and 'experiences' to people affected by cancer and financial difficulty. Their website advertises a range of 'gifts' including restaurant meals, hotel stays, spa breaks and days out with all experiences being generously donated by individuals and businesses.

The charity was set up by Fiona Medley who herself has a diagnosis of incurable cancer. It is now run by Fiona, her daughter Francesca Abery and her husband Andy Coldron.

"As a family, we learnt first hand about the importance of having 'something to look forward to' to get us through the difficult journey of a cancer diagnosis. We also learnt that most people are impacted financially so the first things to go are life's little luxuries when they are needed most." (Francesca Abery, Fundraising Manager)

'Something To Look Forward To' is now operating in Surrey and is working closely with cancer patients in Epsom and surrounding areas with Epsom Hospital recently becoming an official referral route. The charity supports anyone with a cancer diagnosis up to three years post last treatment as well as their families and friends who often become carers.

"It has always been the aim of the charity to reach other geographical areas beyond where we started in Cambridge. Surrey was the logical choice, as I had my original diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer whilst living there. We are looking forward to supporting people and families in Surrey who are affected by cancer and giving them 'something to look forward to." (Fiona Medley, Founding Director)
