The Epsom Derby is fast approaching and I felt compelled to write especially as the level of violence and other crimes have escalated so much since they changed the date of the event.
Back in the day, the Derby was held on the first of June, regardless of the day, and this worked. Unfortunately due to someones bright idea of moving the event from the first of the month to the first Saturday of the month, probably because of greed, all now attend and not all have good intention.
The police are stretched to its limits on this day because of overcrowding and i believe one officer lost his tooth, he is lucky that's all he lost.
My suggestion is change it back to its original format and make the derby something to be proud of again or allow the greedy to sit in their ivory tower reaping in the revenue whilst the peasants fight it out and decent people are caught in the cross fire.
