Epsom and Ewell Harrier's Ollie Garrod finished 2nd in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 9th April in 2:31:16. On the hottest day of the year so far Ollie worked up from 10th at the half way to finally pick off the silver medallist with 1km to go.
The time was a 5 minute PB. There were over 12,000 finishers across the 26.2 mile course known to be the 2nd most prestigious in the country behind London.
