On the 14 May 2017 9-5pm Danetree Primary School parents will be running a football tournament and funday in aid of a very brave boy at the school who is fighting a battle with bone cancer.

Frankie’s parents were originally told only 5 months ago that he had ligament damage to his knee, but a mother’s instinct told her that something was not quite right, and took Frankie to A&E for an X-ray.

Frankie was then scanned and they received the devastating news that he had a tumour, which unfortunately had spread to both knees. He is currently undergoing a total of 29 weeks intense chemotherapy sessions, and is having an operation on both knees this month.

Frankie will be the 1st child in the U.K. to have 2 bionic knees. To cater for Frankie's needs the family are having to extend their home, so that Frankie can have his own bedroom and wet room on ground level. As you can imagine it is a very hard time for his family and friends, but everyone, even the doctors, are so amazed at how strong this little boy is, living up to his nickname 'Frank the Tank'.

All the money raised from the teams paying to enter will go to the Frankie Just Giving Fund but we are also depending on the added support of our friends in the business community who could maybe supply us with exciting auction items, or a financial donation to pay for supplies like the programme, refreshments local cafes/butchers that would like to donate bacon rolls.

Anything else that could help us with this event we would really appreciate it. Our ability to make this event a success will be the generous support of everyone who would like to help us raise as much money for this family as possible to make their lives a little bit easier at this extremely difficult time.

We still have spaces for u11's teams if you like to register please contact wendi_ambridge@yahoo.co.uk
