West End actor and former War Horse performer Danny Dalton is bringing his exclusive War Horse Workshop to Dandelion Theatre Arts this February half term giving children the rare opportunity to experience what it feels like to be a War Horse puppeteer.

Danny was in the West End production of War Horse for two and a half years and trained at LAMDA. His highly acclaimed workshops have been enthusiastically received by families nationwide and currently run at the National Theatre in London.

During this one day workshop held at Leatherhead Theatre on Friday 17 February children will get a taste of the devising process that created the famous life-sized puppets. They will learn how horses move and breathe, the basic physical skills of puppetry, and by the end of the workshop will bring their own War Horse to life - using just a balloon and some sticks.

Danny is a professional actor who’s recent credits include ‘The Winter’s Tale, ‘Pericles’ and ‘Days of Significance’ for the RSC at Stratford-upon-Avon and The USA (also London transfer and UK tour).

War Horse for the National Theatre in the West End. ‘Pigeons’ at the Royal Court, ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ at The Royal Exchange and ‘Wildfire’ at The Hampstead Theatre.
