It was a busy run up to Christmas for The Ashley Centre, Epsom with nearly 24,000 more people coming in to do their last minute shopping compared with the same week in 2015.

Centre Manager David Beddows said “It was incredibly busy in the Centre at Christmas and having checked the figures it has been confirmed that 221,186 people came through our doors in the week beginning 19 December compared to 197,215 during the same week in 2015.

The national year on year average for this period is an increase of 4% but The Ashley Centre smashed this reaching 12.2% more footfall.

We have had lots of positive comments about the lovely atmosphere and stress free shopping environment and we are so pleased people are voting with their feet and continuing to enjoy what the centre has to offer.

Watch out for two new shops opening soon!” For more information about The Ashley Centre and all the latest events, please “like us” on Facebook (facebook.com/theashleycentre), follow us on twitter (@ashley_centre) or visit our website (theashleycentre.co.uk)
