CCTV image released of Waterloo station sex assault suspect

Police are appealing for information after failing to catch a man who sexually assaulted a a woman at London’s Waterloo station.

The attack happened at 8.25am on Friday, March 9, when a man followed the 29-year-old, from Ashtead, along the concourse before touching her indecently.

He was last seen running away towards the London Eye.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers today released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak with and identify in connection with the incident.

Investigating officer Alex O’Leary said: "This incident quite understandably left the victim very distressed and upset.

"We’ve made local enquiries to try and identify this man, including circulating his images on police intelligence systems and to local safer neighbourhood teams, but to no avail so far.

"This man’s behaviour was abhorrent and completely unacceptable and we’ll do everything in our power to try and identify him.

"The CCTV images we’ve been able to retrieve are clear and I’m sure someone will recognise this man. If you do, please get in touch."
