Police have released an e-fit photo of the suspect believed to have sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl at the Epsom Derby.

The incident took place at 4pm on Saturday, June 2, when the girl was assaulted in a nearby field by a boy she had met earlier in the music and fairground area of Epsom Downs Racecourse.

The boy is described as white, aged 16 to 17, skinny but with muscular build, a prominent wide jaw, short ginger/blond hair and a pale and spotty complexion. He was wearing a long-sleeved, dark blue top and baggy blue jeans.

Police would also like to speak to a boy of a similar age who was with the attacker. He is described as of larger build, with short, flattened brown hair and tanned skin. He was wearing a short sleeved white top and blue baggy jeans.

A woman has come forward since police first appealed for help last week who has provided information to help with the investigation.

Anyone with information should call the police on 101quoting reference EP/12/2172 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
