Four charged after drug raids

Four men have been charged with drugs offences after police seized more than 40,000 ecstasy tablets in raids.

Police arrested a further four men on suspicion of drugs offences after they swooped on an address in Tandridge, Surrey, on Wednesday, May 9.

The drugs seized under the intelligence-led investigation, Operation Disco, were estimated to be valued at about £250,000.

Detective Inspector Ben Lee, who is leading on Operation Disco, said: “This raid shows the determination of Surrey Police to crack down on organised crime and has prevented 40,000 ecstasy tablets from reaching the streets of Surrey.

“I hope this sends a clear message to anyone involved in the production or supply of drugs that we are will take action against them.”

Yasin Fada, 21, of Court Crescent and Benjamin Brown, 25, of Bridge Road, Chessington, have been charged with conspiracy to produce and supply a class A controlled drug.

Steven Everett, 43, from Epsom, and David Lewis, 45, from Cranleigh, have also been charged with the same offence.

All four have been remanded in custody and were due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on Friday, May 25.

A 26-year-old man from Worcester Park has also been arrested today (May 15) on suspicion of conspiracy to produce and supply a class A drug and is currently in custody.

A further two men, aged 30 and 34 years from Crawley, who were also arrested following the raid, are on police bail.

A 38-year-old man from East Hunsbury, Northamptonshire, was also released on police bail.
