Cop injured and woman hurt in weekend of violence in Banstead

A police officer and a woman were injured after two incidents in Banstead.
The officer was attacked while attempting to arrest a man and had injuries to his face and knee, at about 1.15am on Sunday.
The 19-year-old woman suffered a bruising after a fight broke out at about 1am, near the Olive Tree bar and a car dealer, in Brighton Road.
The girl’s attacker was described as female, white, in her late teens, with brown, shoulder-length hair and wearing a black and white dress. Contact Surrey Police on 0845 125 2222.
