Murdered Krystal Hart's boyfriend trashed car

The boyfriend of murdered Krystal Hart appeared in court last week after battering a car with a crash helmet.

David Siveter, 22, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to property valued under £5,000.

South Western Magistrates' Court heard that in March, Siveter, of Spencer Park, Wandsworth, was knocked from his moped in Battersea, after being clipped by a Volvo driven by Neil Botterill.

Siveter then angrily tore after the car and proceeded to beat the vehicle with his crash helmet.

In mitigation, Siveter cited stress over his girlfriend's death as having contributed to his flying into a rage.

On June 3, Botterill, 32, of Oakmead Road, in Balham, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

He was fined £175, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £70. His licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

On Friday, Siveter was fined £60 and told to pay the victim surcharge of £15.

Siveter's girlfriend Miss Hart, 22, was gunned down at point blank range last year on the doorstep of her Belleville Road by loner Thomas Hughes, of Stonnells Road.

Miss Hart, who was eight weeks pregnant, had been caught in a long-running feud with neighbour Angela Brewer, with whom Hughes was infatuated.

But on the day she died, Hughes was in fact intent on revenge against Siveter, who had earlier written down Hughes' car registration number.

Miss Hart opened the door to the crazed gunman and was dead seconds later.

During Hughes' trial, Siveter told the Old Bailey how he kissed Krystal's pregnant stomach and left her in bed, only to return less than an hour later to the "unimaginable" news that she had died.
